The beginning of sorrows. God is constantly watching over you. 

Every word you utter, every action you take, God is attentively observing you. His gaze is fixed upon you, never wavering wherever you are at this very moment and whatever you may be doing. Rest assured that God's watchful eyes are upon you. When I mention this to people, they often become nervous and apprehensive. However, the truth is that if you have been born again, the fact that God is watching over you should not instill fear in your heart. Rather, it should bring you peace. A peace that surpasses all understanding. 

This peace does not come from the world, but from knowing that you are no longer at odds with God. Through the immense love of our Lord Jesus Christ, you have been reconciled to Him. No one has ever loved you like Jesus loves you. He willingly laid down his life for you, bearing the weight of all deaths. Even now, he sits at the right hand of the father interceding on our behalf. It is all about the Lord Jesus Christ and what He has done for you, for his beloved bride. As we are aware, the Bible tells us that we are currently living in the end of days. We are indeed in the 11th hour with the clock ticking towards the final moments of human civilization. The events foretold by Jesus in Matthew 24 are unfolding before our eyes, confirming the truth of his words.

 Matthew 24 verses one through eight. And Jesus went out and departed from the temple and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye, not all these things. Verily, I say unto you, there shall not be left here, one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you, for many shall come in my name saying I am Christ and shall deceive many. 

And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that ye be not troubled, For all these things must come to pass. But the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. And there shall be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in diverse places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. It is natural to look out into the world and feel overwhelmed, thinking that everything is spiraling out of control. However, my friend, let me remind you that we serve a living and sovereign God. Nothing is beyond his control. He works all things according to his own will.

 God is the one who is ultimately in charge. God made it clear that the events listed in Matthew 24 should be part of the last days characterized by challenging and dangerous times. It seems like every day we hear about rumors of wars and people losing their lives. It's understandable to feel unsafe and unable to bear the weight of these evils in the world. It may seem like the world and its rulers are becoming increasingly wicked, but Jesus instructs us not to be discouraged or troubled by these circumstances. Regardless of what transpires in this world, regardless of the actions of the government and the country you reside in, remember that God is still seated on his throne.

 As long as God reigns, there is no need to be afraid. You do not have to live in fear. Daniel provides a perfect example of how God remains in control. Daniel four verses 24 through 27. This is the interpretation, Your Majesty. And this is the decree of the most high. Who has issued against my Lord the King. You will be driven away from the people and will live with the wild animals. You will eat grass like an ox and be drenched in the dew of heaven. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the most high is sovereign over all kingdoms on the earth and gives them to anyone he wishes. The command to leave the stump of the tree with its roots means that your kingdom will be restored to you when you acknowledge that Heaven rules.

 Therefore, Your Majesty, be pleased to accept my advice. Renounce your sins by doing what is right and your wickedness by being kind to the oppressed. It may be that then your prosperity will continue. Can you imagine that? Nebuchadnezzar, the king who often sought glory and adoration for his empire, ruled over one of the most powerful kingdoms in the world. Babylon. Under his leadership became a formidable city. Nebuchadnezzar reached the pinnacle of human achievement. Everyone and everything was beneath him. He had vast resources at his disposal and received honor and praise for his accomplishments. 

As far as Nebuchadnezzar was concerned, there was no one higher than himself. But God humbled, this proud man. For seven years he was brought down to his hands and knees, living and eating like a wild animal. And here's the remarkable part. All of this happened while Israel was still under his rule. God reduced the emperor to demonstrate that he is still in control, despite being known as the destroyer of nations. Nebuchadnezzar was reduced to eating grass. I share this story to emphasize the fact that God is still in control, regardless of the world's direction. We have a mighty God in heaven who is large and in charge, no matter who holds the position of authority on earth. Ultimately, God reigns supreme.

 The same God who is in control is the very God who watches over you. You do not have to live in fear. Whatever path your life may take, remember that God is in control. It doesn't matter who has betrayed you. It could even be your spouse who has hurt you deeply. But remember, God is in control. Joseph was betrayed by his own brothers. Yet God was in control of the situation. Isn't it wonderful that God is watching over you? The one who is ultimately in control is genuinely interested in your life and the lives of your family. The one who loves you deeply cares about your well-being.

 What more can he do to show you his love? He is the reason you have the hope of going to heaven. You are not going to heaven because you are a good person. There are many good people in hell right now. Being morally upright does not grant you a single moment in heaven. You are not going into heaven because of the amount of money you have given or the number of people you have helped your last name, The duration of your prayers or the frequency of your church attendance won't earn you a way into heaven. The real reason you are going to heaven is because of one man, Jesus Christ. He came to this earth 2000 years ago and died for your sins, my sins and the sins of the world.

 We deserved the fires of hell. We deserved eternal destruction. We deserve to face the full wrath of God without limit. We deserve to be in the same place as the rich man in the story of the rich man and Lazarus. The Bible tells us a story about a beggar and a rich man. The beggar died and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom, while the rich man also died. And was buried in hell. He lifted up his eyes and experienced torment. We too deserve to go to that place of weeping and gnashing of teeth.

 But John Three 16 reminds us of God's incredible love for the world he gave his only son so that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but shall have everlasting life. It is God's love that saved us from the eternity of hell. Jesus came and paid the price for our sins Often when we opened the news and see all the troubling things happening in the world, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by the perilous times. However, I am here to remind you that God is in control. You don't have to live in fear or be afraid. The one who ultimately has control over everything is watching over you. Even as the beginning of sorrows unfolds. Remember that you serve a living God who is with you? Trust in his love and his sovereignty.
