The awareness of God's presence. 

Today, I want to speak to you about the importance of having an awareness of God's presence in our lives. As Christians, we know that God is always with us, but sometimes we can lose sight of that fact and become overwhelmed by the challenges of this world. However, when we are aware of God's presence, we can find security and rest in Him and experience the peace and restoration that only he can provide.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 46:10, Be still and know that I am God. 

This verse reminds us that we need to take the time to be still and quiet so that we can become aware of God's presence in our lives. When we are busy and distracted, it is easy to forget that God is with us and we can start to rely on our own strength instead of trusting in him. Psalm 46:10. Be still and know that I am God. When we are still, we can listen to the voice of God and we can begin to rely on His power instead of our own strength. Being still and relying on God's power is not always easy. We are taught to be independent and self-sufficient, and we often try to solve our problems on our own.

 However, when we are still, we can let go of our need for control and we can trust in God's plan for our lives. We can surrender our worries, fears and anxieties to him, and we can find peace and rest in his presence. When we are still, we can also focus on God more than our problems. We live in a world that is full of challenges and difficulties, and it can be easy to become overwhelmed by our circumstances. However, when we are still, we can shift our focus from our problems to God's power and goodness. We can remember that God is in control and that He has a plan for our lives.

 We can find hope and strength in his promises, and we can face our challenges with courage and faith. Finding security and rest in God's presence requires us to cultivate a relationship with Him. This means spending time in prayer and reading the Bible and being intentional about seeking him in our daily lives. As we do this, we will start to recognize his presence in even the smallest details of our lives, and we will be able to find peace and rest in him. Another important aspect of finding rest in God's presence is learning to surrender our worries and fears to Him. The Bible tells us in PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7, DO NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING, BUT IN EVERY SITUATION, BY PRAYER AND PETITION WITH THANKSGIVING, PRESENT YOUR REQUESTS TO GOD AND THE PEACE OF GOD, WHICH TRANSCENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING WILL GUARD YOUR HEARTS AND YOUR MINDS IN CHRIST JESUS

 When we surrender our worries and fears to God, we can experience the peace that only He can provide. And we can find rest in knowing that he is in control. Genesis 28:16. When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, Surely the Lord is in this place? And I was not aware of it. It is therefore a tragedy of the worst kind when we are in God's presence and we are not aware of it. Jacob found himself in this predicament. Surely the Lord is in this place and I was not aware of it. He Remorsefully expressed.

 He wasn't unaware that God is omnipresent and is everywhere. Our finite mind cannot currently grasp the fullness of God as omnipresent. Yet we should be comforted by this phenomenon. We cannot go to a place in creation where God does not exist. David, again is clear on this. In PSALM 139:7-10 WHITHER SHALL I GO FROM THY SPIRIT OR WHITHER SHALL I FLEE FROM THY PRESENCE? IF I ASCEND UP INTO HEAVEN, THOU ART THERE. IF I MAKE MY BED IN HELL, BEHOLD, THOU ART THERE. IF I TAKE THE WINGS OF THE MORNING AND DWELL IN THE UTTERMOST PARTS OF THE SEA.

EVEN THERE SHALL THY HAND LEAD ME. AND THY RIGHT HAND SHALL HOLD ME. We must live with this always resting on our consciousness. Our God permeates the heavens and heaven. Hell, The seas, the caves, the crevices and the rocks. The craters on the moon, the circumference of the sun. And to the core of all stars and planets discovered and veiled. God cannot be outrun or escaped. Jacob was fully aware of that. But. What did evaded his awareness was that the manifested an active presence of God was where he had made his bed to take his rest.

 That is the tragedy. We too have missed opportunities to see God's face because we weren't aware that His presence was where we were. Like Jacob, we may be more mentally focused on who we are fleeing from than who is with us every step of the way. In other words, we may be more focused on trials and tribulations or the problems we are facing more than the God who is with us. And this is one of the lessons we can learn from. Be still and knowing that God is God. That he will always be there. God is with you no matter what you are going through, no matter how tough your situation is. God is with you when you face challenges and difficulties. When you feel alone and afraid, when you are in your toughest moments, remember this truth.

 God is with you. The Bible tells us in PSALM 23:4, EVEN THOUGH I WALK THROUGH THE DARKEST VALLEY, I WILL FEAR NO EVIL, FOR YOU ARE WITH ME. YOUR ROD AND YOUR STAFF, THEY COMFORT ME. This verse reminds us that even in the darkest of times, God is with us and he is our comfort and our strength. When we face troubles and challenges, it can be easy to forget that God is with us. We may feel like we are alone and that no one understands what we are going through. But God is with us and He understands our pain and our struggles.

 He is our constant companion, our guide, and our friend. So when you feel overwhelmed by your situation, when you feel like you can't go on, remember that God is with you. When you feel like you are facing your struggle alone, remember that God is with you. When you feel like you have no hope, remember that God is with you. God is with you in your struggles and He will never leave you or forsake you. He is always there to comfort you, to guide you, and to give you strength. So hold on to this truth and let it be your anchor in the storm. Let it give you hope and encouragement and let it remind you that no matter what you are going through, God is with you.

 Life has a way of capturing our attention with its many cares, and this robs us of the benefits of being aware of God's face turned towards us. We are pulled in many directions and called to divide our attention among our marriages, our businesses or jobs, our health and staying alive, our children, our studies, our ministries, and so much more. These things are important, but they grate on our minds, causing us to be less conscious of God's manifested presence. Jacob's words express astonishment that Jehovah should have manifested himself in a place remote from his father's home to himself, a solitary wanderer.

 Listen, God is no more in your church than He is where you are right now. Sometimes we think he is more present at the altar than he is in the pews. That is not so. Whether we are kneeling or standing at the altars of our churches or our bedsides, he is present. If we go to the seaside, God is there. His manifested presence is there. In conclusion, I want to repeat this simple yet powerful truth. God is with you. Let this truth be your comfort and your strength and let it give you hope and encouragement in your darkest moments. Remember that God is always with you and he will never leave you or forsake you. Amen.

 JEREMIAH 31:3,  THE LORD HATH APPEARED OF OLD UNTO ME SAYING YAY, I HAVE LOVED THEE WITH AN EVERLASTING LOVE, THEREFORE WITH LOVING KINDNESS HAVE I DRAWN THEE? This love is real. This love takes us from darkness into light. This love gives us life. JOHN 3:16. FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE. If you are outside of Christ, if you are not in the hands of Christ yet you are living alone. You are living alone with no security. You are living life with no hope for the future. Without Christ, you are living alone. You are carrying the burdens of life alone. When you are in the hands of Christ, you have joy. It doesn't matter what is going on in the world. Joy will always be yours because you know you have life in Christ and he is the reason you are going to heaven.
